DREAM THEATER Drummer Interviewed About 'Rock Band'; Audio Available

August 15, 2008

Harmonix editor Brett Milano recently conducted an interview with DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy about Rock Band: Metal Health — the latest Rock Band DLC (Downloadable Content) update otherwise known as the Roadrunner 6 Pack (a collection of metal more harsh than biting down on a ball of aluminum foil). Listen to the 11-minute chat at this location.

DREAM THEATER's previously announced announced a "one-off" show on August 31 at the L'International Weekend festival at Hippodrome in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada was cancelled "due to circumstances beyond our control," according to a posting on the group's web site.

DREAM THEATER's "Chaos In Motion 2007/2008" double DVD set documenting the band's "Chaos In Motion" world tour will hit shelves on September 23. "Chaos In Motion 2007/2008" will be available in two configurations: as a double DVD set and as five-disc collector's set which includes two DVDs and three CDs, containing 14 live tracks featured in the DVD set and expanded artwork.
